This varies depending on the scope and complexity of your project. However, most websites are completed within 2-3 months. This allows for:

• 1-2 weeks to gather assets (logo, photos, table of contents, etc)
• 2-4 weeks for design, proofs and revisions
• 4-6 weeks for development and content input
• 1-2 weeks for testing and launch

Generally the answer is no.  This is because there are already other competing websites online and it takes time for Google to trust your website.  The science of getting to the top of Google is a complicated one.  However, Tailor Web Design can help you accomplish this goal.

We can create a Google Placement program for your website to help you reach the top.  It takes most of our websites 6-12 months to organically reach the first page on Google versus possibly never making it on your own.

We do not have a set non-profit rate. However, we do review each client on a case-by-case basis and we have been known to help out non-profits in the past where we can.

We’re glad you asked! It’s a pretty simple process and it goes a little something like this:

• 1st:Fill out our Get Started form.
• 2nd:Talk with us about your website requirements.
• 3rd:Pay 25% or 50% deposit depending on your payment plan.
• 4th:Send us your design assets (photos, logo, table of contents, etc).

Once you make it to step four we’ll guide you step-by-step the rest of the way till we’re ready to launch.

Most website projects range from $3,000 to $6,000 depending on scope and complexity. Two major factors determine website prices: number of pages and requested features. More pages and features generally equates to a higher budgeted website project.

Yes. We have two simple payment plans, standard or extended.

Standard: Pay 50% deposit to begin project and 50% prior to launch.

Extended: Pay 25% deposit to begin project and each additional 25% every three months. This allows you to disperse the cost over nine months and has been very helpful for many clients.

We have actually never had a client ask this question as we work very hard to create quality work and we have an unlimited design revision policy (most people only use two or three though).

Yes, we operate out of Anchorage, Alaska without a public store front. We are a remote company with each team member working from their own home. We have found this allows us to keep our websites more affordable by keeping our overhead low.

We always prefer to meet with you in person when possible though, preferably at your office so we can gain a better understanding of your company and meet your team.

Yes, our standard hourly rate is $115 per hour. However, we do offer discounts when you buy hours in bulk. You can purchase five hour blocks for $105 per hour or ten hour blocks for $95 per hour.

No, we do not offer hosting (except for temporary sites when a client has selected our Extended Payment Plan). We also do not offer email services or support, as this is best handled either directly by your web hosting company or through your local internet service provider like GCI or ACS.

However, we are very familiar with some of the best hosting platforms available and can get your company’s website setup in 2-3 hours time with your own stand-alone hosting account. This saves most of our clients several hundreds of dollar per year in monthly hosting fees.

Setup is billed at our standard rate of $115 per hour. Monthly hosting is paid directly to your web hosting company of choice.

We build every website on the WordPress platform. WordPress is by far the most developed and user friendly content management system (CMS), which allows our clients to update their own content with ease. We do not develop for Joomla or Drupal.

Yes. If you want to keep your existing website’s design and content and just add WordPress to the back-end we can do this at an hourly rate. Generally this takes about 20-40 hours depending on the complexity of the website.

WordPress helps lower your annual maintenance cost by allowing you and your team to edit the majority of your website’s content without knowing any HTML. It also has some very powerful search engine optimization tools that we install as well.

No. Tailor Web Design does not offer email or other technical DNS related IT services in any capacity.

We recommend using a local internet provider such as GCI or ACS for your email needs. They offer business email accounts and can provide excellent support for email setup and trouble shooting.

We can assist GCI or ACS on your behalf to update your web server and domain settings so your email addresses can match your website’s domain name. This generally takes 2-3 hours and is billed at our hourly rate of $115 per hour.
