The Problem
After being involved in the Alaska website design industry for the past four years, either professionally or with personal freelance projects, I have concluded Alaska is in much need of a web design company that is capable of clean, professional and modern website design.
After completing a double major in marketing and finance from the University of Alaska Anchorage I began designing websites for various business ideas I was currently working on. It was during this time I uncovered my passion for marketing businesses online.
The Obsession
Being fascinated by technology and an eager learner, I started reading about HTML at every opportunity. Before long I found myself regularly spending $200-400 per month on new books about website design, development and theory. In even shorter time it became obvious my bookshelf wasn’t going to be adequate for all the books I was acquiring.
Over the ensuing years I had the opportunity to hone my skills while working at a local design studio in Anchorage. During this time I made notable contributions on large website projects with Alaska Pacific University, Alaska Trust Company, the Alaska Department of Education, Treeforms Furniture Gallery and Alaska eHealth Network among many others.
A Journey Begins
Tailor Web Design opened its virtual doors October 1st, 2011. Yes, we’re the new guys on the block though far from inexperienced. Most recently I was the lead website designer for Sundog Media in Anchorage, which is arguably Alaska’s premiere high-end web studio. I left Sundog Media with the blessing and encouragement of Joe Law, the owner of Sundog Media. In fact, they have become our largest client as we continue to create a large portion of their custom website designs.
Tailor Web Design focuses on utilizing the internet to it’s fullest potential. I believe when done correctly an organization’s website can be their single greatest asset to generate and convert leads into business, accomplish strategic objectives and reach their audience.
